Situation

Structures at the Dampier Port facilities were nearing end of life and required upgrading to ensure a safe working environment.

Solution

• An audit was carried out to identify which structural members required replacement and/or refurbishment.
• Aerison were engaged to supply and install various structural and flooring members to ensure operations can continue.
• Supply of materials, installation and quality assurance activities were required for this live operational facility.

Outcome

• A series of upgrades to conveyor trusses, stairwells, walkways and structural members were carried out over a period of time both in shutdowns and during general operations.
• Through effective consultation and planning, operational downtime was limited allowing for works to be carried out with minimal impact.
• The project was delivered safely and incident free.
