Your Role & Journey 

Question:

Can you share a bit about your career journey and what led you to your current role at Aerison? 

Answer:

With eight years of FIFO experience across roles such as Peggy, Trades Assistant, Tool Stores, and Sentry work, the opportunity to join Aerison came three years ago for a five-week shutdown in Tom Price. That project marked the beginning of a rewarding journey, which has since included working on three major Aerison projects. 

Question:

What does your role as a Trades Assistant involve, and what do you enjoy most about it? 

Answer:

My responsibilities vary day to day, which keeps things interesting. I support site operations by maintaining crib rooms, managing tools, running airport pickups, restocking supplies, and making sure the team has the correct PPE and equipment to do their jobs safely and efficiently. I enjoy being hands-on and staying busy—I take pride in supporting my team so they can focus on their work. 

Team & Operations 

From your perspective, what makes Aerison’s site team stand out? 

Answer: 

The respect and camaraderie among the team really set Aerison apart. Being one of the few women on site, I’ve always felt supported and safe. Having been on the same project for two years, I’ve seen many people come and go and had the chance to meet some incredible individuals. We become like a FIFO family—always looking out for one another, showing care and respect both on and off the job.

Question: 

You recently received a Value Award for demonstrating Aerison’s core values of Safety, Quality, Delivery, Integrity, and Innovation. How do you bring these values to life in your day-to-day work? 

Answer: 

For me, it’s all about attention to detail and taking pride in what I do. I keep shared spaces clean and welcoming, making sure the team has a comfortable place to rest during breaks. I check in on my teammates regularly to ensure they’re doing well. As a mother of two and grandmother of six, I naturally bring a nurturing approach to work—fostering a culture of care, respect, and teamwork across the site.
