Career Journey 

Question:

Can you tell us about your career journey and how you got to where you are today?  

Answer:

My journey started in mechanical maintenance and steadily grew into project and delivery roles across some of Australia’s biggest names in engineering and fabrication. Over the past two decades—much of it in oil and gas—I’ve worked on complex fabrication and pipe spooling projects for clients like Chevron, Woodside, and Santos, which really shaped my approach to planning, safety, and quality.

I joined Aerison in 2024 as Manufacturing Delivery Manager, where I now lead our workshop team to deliver high-quality outcomes on time and on budget. What drives me is building strong client relationships, mentoring up-and-coming engineers, and continuously improving how we work together to deliver results.

Question:

Can you tell us about your role as Manufacturing Delivery Manager and what it entails?

Answer:

As Manufacturing Delivery Manager at Aerison, I’m responsible for overseeing the successful delivery of our fabrication and modularisation projects from the workshop—ensuring they meet client expectations, timelines, and quality standards.

My role involves managing project schedules and resources, coordinating closely with clients, and ensuring compliance with all specifications and quality processes. I also lead our workshop teams, promoting a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.

It’s a role that requires both technical oversight and strong leadership to ensure every project is delivered to the highest standard and helps build lasting client relationships.

What sets Aerison’s workshop team apart in terms of capability and culture?

Answer: 

Manufacturing team brings a high level of technical expertise in fabrication, welding, and assembly, with strong quality assurance and reliable project delivery. We’re solutions-focused and consistently aim to exceed client expectations for safety, quality, and timelines.

What truly drives our success, though, is the culture on the floor. Safety, collaboration, and continuous improvement are at the core of how we operate. Everyone’s voice is valued, creating a cohesive, high-performing team.

Question: 

How do you ensure smooth coordination between manufacturing  operations and project requirements in the field?

Answer: 

As Delivery Manager, I focus on keeping our manufacturing and fabrication closely aligned with field requirements to ensure components arrive installation-ready and without delays.

This involves working closely with project teams to clarify scope, align schedules, and manage critical path activities. I ensure all fabrication meets approved specs and that documentation is complete for a smooth handover.

Regular communication with field engineers and project managers helps resolve issues early, while pre-delivery checks confirm readiness. I also feed lessons learned back into planning to continually improve future project outcomes.

Highlights & Learnings

What’s one project or milestone that stands out as a highlight since you’ve been in this role?

Answer: 

A highlight has been delivering multiple complex fabrication scopes for a major mining client under tight timelines and high-quality expectations. I ensured work packs met specifications, oversaw critical documentation like ITPs and WPSs, and coordinated closely with clients and internal teams. The successful delivery reinforced client trust and showcased our manufacturing facility’s ability to execute demanding projects safely and efficiently.
