Situation

Aerison were engaged to complete the shop detailing, supply, structural & pipework fabrication, electrical containment, pre-assembly, and delivery of pipe rack module structures for the Covalent Lithium Refinery.

Solution

As part of this package Aerison engaged a number of initiatives to minimise construction risk and reduce critical risk activities,
including stationary hydraulic vertical lifters to eliminate cranage and mobile equipment. In addition to the vertical lifters Aerison designed, fabricated, and assembled specialised structural assembly bays, allowing multiple concurrent builds complete with overhead gantry cranes. In house passivation and hydrostatic testing completed of piping, material PMI, full material, and weld traceability.

Aerison expertly utilised various fabrication materials including CS, SS, Duplex, HDPE, PVDF and rubber lined totalling circa 19km.

Outcome

Aerison successfully delivered over 800 tonnes of Structural Steelwork for the Pipe Rack modules, on time, on budget and with quality exceeding client expectations.
